Day by Day Journey
- Day 1
Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park
You will be picked up from the hotel and driven to Zanzibar Airport, where you will board a small plane that flies into the Serengeti Airstrip. Arrive in Serengeti in the am and from there, you will start game drives till the afternoon. You will head to the lodge for lunch before heading out for an evening game drive and enjoying a surreal sunset in the Serengeti.
- Day 2
Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will embark on a game drive to various regions of the park. You will then return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out and begin your journey back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge with the Ngorongoro Crater's view; just at the top of Ngorongoro Crater in the evening. Here you will check in, have dinner, and turn in early; in order to be ready for an early morning descent into the crater.
- Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater on a journey to find the black rhino; the hardest animal to spot. Inside this beautiful crater, you will experience Africa’s version of “Noah’s Ark”, with a vast variety of wildlife including elephants, hyenas, big cats, rhinos, and more. In the afternoon, you will stop for lunch at the hippo lake and then enjoy another game drive as you ascend back up to the crater rim. You will return to the lodge, check out and drive to Arusha airport for your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar.

Practical Information
Flight Baggage Restrictions
Domestic safari flights usually allow 15 kg (33 lbs) of luggage per person, including hand luggage, in soft-sided bags only.
Best Time to Travel
The safari is available year-round, but June to October offers excellent wildlife viewing, while January to March is ideal for the Serengeti calving season.
Weather and Clothing
Pack lightweight, neutral-colored clothing for daytime game drives and a warm jacket or fleece for cool mornings and evenings, especially in Ngorongoro.
Health and Travel Requirements
Travel insurance is highly recommended. Visitors should check current visa requirements and consult their healthcare provider regarding recommended vaccinations and malaria prevention
Safari Timing
Early morning and late afternoon game drives provide the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Fly-in safaris maximize time in the parks by reducing long road transfers.
