Day by Day Journey
- Day 1
Arrival Nairobi
Upon your arrival at the JKIA, you will be met by our Sopa Trails Africa representative and transferred by a hotel shuttle bus to the Four Points By Sheraton Nairobi Airport Hotel for an overnight stay. Depending on your arrival, we can arrange Nairobi excursions at extra cost.
- Day 2
Nairobi – Lake Naivasha
After a leisurely breakfast at the Hotel, your driver/guide will pick you up for your safari departure. You will drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha, arriving for lunch at your lodge. The afternoon will be spent enjoying a boat ride on the lake and a visit to the nearby Crescent Island, where you can walk amongst game such as giraffes, waterbucks, zebras, etc. Dinner and overnight at the Naivasha Sopa Resort.
- Day 3
Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After an early breakfast, depart for the famous Maasai Mara driving past the Maasai town of Narok. Arrive at your exciting safari camp in time for lunch. Located in the heart of the Reserve, the camp is a short drive from the major migration crossing points. Enjoy your first afternoon game drive in search of the famous ‘BIG FIVE’ animals and other various games that roam the vast plains. Dinner and overnight in Soroi Mara Bush Camp.
- Day 4-7
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Full days in the Mara with unlimited game drives during the day at your convenience to explore this Reserve, best described as the ‘jewel in the crown’ of Kenya’s wildlife reserves.. You may opt for packed breakfasts or lunches to enjoy by a scenic spot. You can also participate in the various exciting activities (extra cost) offered at the Camp. Evenings at leisure to unwind around a cosy campfire under the African stars whilst reminiscing about your day in the wild. All meals and overnight in Soroi Mara Bush Camp.
- Day 8
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi
Enjoy your last early morning game drive to Enjoy your last short early morning game drive. Breakfast and check out by 1000 hrs to depart for Nairobi. Afternoon arrival and transfer to the JKIA for your international flight departure. Day room, overnight, meals can be arranged at extra cost. END OF SERVICES!

- Experienced, English-speaking driver/guide (member of the Kenya Professional Safari Guide Association) and bronze or silver level certificate
- Unlimited game drives during the day as per the itinerary
- Park entrance fees, Maasai Mara National Reserve.
- 1 night on Bed & Breakfast at Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport Hotel, in a traditional King room, with a complimentary airport transfer upon arrival in the hotel shuttle bus.
- 1 night on Full board basis at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort, in a standard room inclusive of 3 meals per day (breakfast, lunch & dinner) coffee, tea, and filtered water.
- 5 nights on Full Board basis at Soroi Mara Bush Camp in a standard tent inclusive of 3 meals per day (breakfast, lunch & dinner), wi-fi, afternoon tea, campfire nibbles and filtered water..
- Complimentary Steel Water Bottle.
- Mineral water in the vehicle during the safari.

- Items of personal nature i.e., beverages, laundry, telephone, souvenirs etc.
- Travel / medical / cancellation insurance.

Practical Information
Best Time to Visit
The safari can be enjoyed year-round, but the dry seasons (June–October and January–March) offer the best wildlife viewing. July to October is particularly rewarding for witnessing the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara.
Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation ranges from comfortable lodges to luxury safari camps. Most properties provide en-suite rooms, hot showers, electricity, and dining facilities, though power may be limited during certain hours in remote areas.
What to Pack
Bring lightweight, neutral-colored clothing, a warm jacket for cool mornings and evenings, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Binoculars and a camera are highly recommended for wildlife viewing.
Health & Travel Requirements
Ensure you have a valid passport and any required travel documents before arrival. Consult your healthcare provider regarding recommended vaccinations and malaria prevention for your trip.
Road Travel & Safari Conditions
This itinerary involves travel between parks by road, offering scenic views of the Great Rift Valley and rural Kenya. Distances can be long, so early departures are common to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities and avoid midday heat.
